My name is Lauren, and I live in the bubble. I am wife to Marshall, the biggest BYU fan in the world; and mother to Carly, our big girl, and Wes, our wild man, and Calvin, our new addition. I graduated BYU with a degree in Social Work, and I went forth to serve at LDS Family Services. I like scrapbooking and going out to eat at nice restaurants. I am fascinated by new cleaning products at the grocery store, so I have to shop in wide circles around the perimeter to avoid the temptation to buy. I love chocolate.

For parents, present and future

Have you been in a major car accident before? Have you been in one with your children in the car? Heaven knows Marshall and I have been in our fair share of car wrecks since we have been married (3...2 resulting in "totals"). Luckily, we have not had to go through the experience of an accident with a child in the car. But chances are, knowing our luck, we will at some point. For this reason (and because I love Carly sooo much), car seat safety is pretty important to me.

These are some videos regarding car seat safety. I find them to be important (and emotional, and enlightening, and empowering). Everyone has different opinions, and YES, I am trying to sway yours. So please watch if you have a moment!

Well thanks for making me cry! I can't imagine losing my little Miley. It's amazing how everything changes when you have a child. Of course I was so sad anytime I heard of something sad happening to a child before I had her. But once you have your own it hits ya like a ton of bricks. That was interesting I have never heard that information before. Thanks for passing it along!
